Best way to clean bike grease??

Got a lovely imprint of my chain ring on my brand new jersey yesterday. This stain is huge, not one to 'add character'. Best cleaning products?

I found this using the search feature at the top of the screen for 'chain grease clothing'.

There are other threads, but some of the ideas here should get you started. Good luck; I did something similar a few months ago and had to clean up chain grease from light beige carpet. Resolve sprayed on a rag removed the stain completely.

Dawn...it cuts grease. Sounds like I am joking but I am very serious, I use it on any greasy stain.

I second Dawn dishwashing soap. It's what they use on oil spill animals, so it should work on chain grease. Work a little into the stain then toss it in the washer.

+1 on Dawn.

Also, the new Tide Pens work wonders.

All else fails, some chain brite works sometimes

Dawn... on the day of my wedding, the photographers hung my dress on one of their tripods to take photos and got a streak of black grease on it. A wet rag, Dawn, and some scrubbing on the way to the church took care of it. I've never used anything other than Dawn since then!

Dawn is good but Simple Green is better. OxyClean and Zote work well but require a little elbow grease to get any stain out.

Oxiclean has always worked best for me. if it is really big stain then I soak it but mostly i just add it to the wash.

Rubbing alcohol also works well. It is expecially effective on bikes as well when you put it in a spray bottle.
