I am building up a bike from parts i have laying around the garage. The situation i have is this. I have a threaded carbon fork that i can use, and an unthreaded vision tech areobar assembly. Without adding a lot of cost to the project, i have seen the threaded to unthreaded adapter post that will allow you to use the unthreaded areobar assembly. Are these reliable for a tri bike?

The other option is i buy a new fork and headset, but i am trying to keep this build up low budget.
