Dude, that's gonna be the best race of the year. And it's none-drafting, which makes it interesting to see how the ITU guys will hold up (whitfield, bennet, marceau etc).

This is gonna rock.

Maybe Simon Lessing, he swam and road with Walton at Alcatraz, so maybe he'll do that and then win on the run. who knows?

Being it a non-drafting race, it should help the stronger swimmer/bikers. No hanging out in the back at 160 watts saving energy for the run. This is trully an all out race.

Though all three legs are shorter than Oly distance, the run is the one that has been cut the greatest percentage (4.7 miles vs. 6.2 miles, that's 25% shorter), thus again helping the stronger swimmers and bikers.

I think Barb will take it again. Why, because her swim is top women and top 3-5 men and her bike is top 1-3 women.

Not sure 4.7 miles is enough for Simon or Craig to catch her.

I wanna see Craig win it, cuz that's his main race this year.

But I really hope Van Lierde will win it, just because..

Freestyle,

I think you are just about as big of a LVL fan as me. My question is this: do you have any information on how he is doing since winning Ironman Malaysia?

I had a few email contacts from Belgium that I emailed about his training, racing, progress, etc., but I haven't heard from them in a while. I guess Luc had minor surgery on his foot after Malaysia, and hopes to focus on short-course this summer, and Ironman Hawaii in October.

Do you know how Luc is doing, his summer race schedules, etc.

Maybe we can keep each other posted.

Ray

I've searched everywhere for info about him, but the only things I could find are old interviews from the 1990's and early 2000-2001, or some sites in German I can't read.

I really hope to see him win in LTF, but I'm pretty sure it's Walton's race, and he'll be the one to take it.

BTW if anyone has any info about Luke Bell, plz let me know! Any info at all.
