Goals for this week:
6 runs ----- DONE; 40+ miles
4 swims ---- DONE; 7000 yds
Large dent in lit review ---- fail
large dent in fellowship application ---- yes! statement letter is being proofread by a professor.
Also, 3 h of yoga and 3 mi walking.

Goals for the Thanksgiving week:
5 runs (2 done)
2-3 swims (these will be harder to get in when I am on vacation and not really near a pool)
2 rides (1 done)
3x yoga

Academic goals: mail the Fellowship application next Monday. (It has to be postmarked by Dec 1 anyway). Mostly this involves working on my manuscript now.

work... on ... lit review...

In other news, I registered this week for next semester's classes, had a few extra credits available in the schedule, and.... signed up for PE 330: Triathlon Training! Woohooo! Scheduled workouts, free (sorta) coaching, and course credit for what I'd be doing anyway! :D

Cool about your triathlon class.

My next semester: Multivariate ANOVA Statistics Part II; History of Math; 3 thesis credits. I'm really excited about History of Math. It's practically a Harry Potter class - Muggle Studies or History of Magic or something.

Run 2x (Kinda Completed... 1x Run 1x Elliptical)
Swim 2x - COMPLETE
Trainer 3x - 2x but long session completed
Zumba 1x - NOPE...
Easier Hot Yoga Class on Friday... - NOPE

Pretty bad week but it was due to all the stress.. Grandpa is still in the hospital and it really took a toll on me at work having to run the office on my own. I was stressed to the max and too tired to get up or workout after work. I'm hoping this week I'll accomplish everything I'm planning even with Thanksgiving..

Swim 2x
Run 2x
Trainer 3x
Strength 3x
Yoga or Zumba 1x

just curious, why the cycling if you're training for an ultra? (I was thinking it was an ultramarathon I guess)

You're right, it's an ultramarathon (50 miles trail). I'm bikng for several reasons - the race is only 11 days away and run is tapering now, I'm a spin instructor and somehow have inherited a lot of classes this month (4 last week, thus the bike 4x) and most importantly - IM TX is only 26 weeks away and the bike is my weakness :)

Thanksgiving week for us Americans. What are your goals and how was your past week?

I could swear I just did this. :)

I dont' really have a solid plan - swim 4x week and ride 4x a week. I'd hoped to start running this week but I'm going to give it a few more days to "cure" and then I'll start 10 min runs. Got hit with a gastro bug so that knocked out one swim (after bike ride) but other than that met all goals. Seem to be losing a little weight also - logging food so I know where I'm at throughout the day.

This week again 4x swim and 4x ride but since the US has a holiday I might make Thursday (since work should be super slow - I work for a US company) a long ride and brick a swim.

Weather is FINALLY turning around - 28C today. Finally decent weather. We've been freezing in the mid20s for ever.

tigerchick, congrads on your fellowship applic!

last week: met all, yeah!
2 swims, 2 three mile runs, zumba, core.

this week:
1 swim: lost goggle/cap, so just did 40 minute of breaststroke
3 three mile runs: ran one already, then next one tomorrow, and the next one thursday;
core: (also tagging 1/2 core to the end of runs/zumbas, less tiring/less time-consuming then full core)
2 zumba: did one already, one more at end of week.
a 25 mile leisure bike: got to ride and enjoy what is left of this warm November!
getting back to adequate sleep
