Off-Season Fitness Maintenance

If feel kinda dumb asking a question about off-season while we are in the height of triathlon season over the next three months.

But I have only on triathlon scheduled for the rest of the year, and it is an olympic length after I have trained for a half IM.

Instead, my training focus now is on a fall marathon (which I'll run with my daughter and possibly two of my sons) and a fall double-century bike ride (which I'll do with my cycling team).

So what should I do about swimming between now and next year? I certainly don't want to lose the form and fitness that I've worked so hard to achieve over the past 8 months, but I have to do so much running and biking in the next 3 months that it will be easy from me to drop the swimming altogether.

What do you recommend? Two swims a week of about a mile? (My triathlon goals call for possibly a full IM in a year, but at least one or two half IMs.) Could I get by on one swim a week just to maintain?
