Recipe for chlorine rinse
Hey all,

I was listening to CBC radio today and they were doing a segment on natural remedies. Thought I'd share their recipe for a hair rinse that is supposed to repair chlorine damage - haven't tried it out, but sounded interesting!

Cucumber Hair Drench
1 egg
2 tbsp olive oil
1 quarter of a peeled cucumber
Blend the egg, olive oil and peeled cucumber in a blender or food processor until smooth. Spread evenly through your hair, leave on for 10 minutes, then thoroughly rinse. For the best results year-round, continue this treatment monthly.

(Thanks to http://www.spaindex.com for this recipe!)

Just tried this today, worked pretty well, except I have thick, long hair so I should have doubled it, but thanks for the great recipe, would have never thought to try something like this!

I've heard lemon juice works, because the acid breaks the chlorine bond. Anyone know if this is true?
