Any one out there who has the numbers on the bike and run total altitude gain?

Hello

Off the top of my head the easiest way..Go to ironmancda.com,then to course profiles.click on run or bike, scroll down to interactive,then choose appropriate course,will show elevations. Scroll down further and you can choose bike course(if your in run course) and vice a versa.

Min. Grade: -11.23%

Max. Grade: 18.28%

Avg. Grade: -.04%

Max. Elev. Gain: 1598 feet

I can tell you for certain that there is no 18% grade on that course. That number is just silly. I seriously doubt there is anything over 8% or so.

I thought you were referring to Ironman USA Lake Placid, not Coeur d' Alene so you're probably right. There is, however, a section in Placid that I would guess is about 18%.
