Moving a velodrome...is it possible?
our local outdoor cement velodrome has been shut down for 2 years and the city's plan is to get rid of it.

it's about 16 years old and before it was shut down was in decent shape.

just wondering if anyone has any experience with moving one of these things. if it's at all possible or practical i'd be interested in trying to raise the money.

any thoughts on how this might work or how much it would cost? is this a stupid idea?

thanks

If it's cement you are probably outta luck. Some wooden 'dromes were designed to be dismantled and moved, but not cement. The problem with cement is that it is heavy and brittle (not a good combo).
