Fur is already dead and a name like that doesnt make a good acronym.

-Never been a big fan of fur to begin with. Saw a rather violent "anti-fur" demonstration in a shopping mall in Stuttgard, (then) West Germany once. Quite a sensation.

fur is trying to make a comback. At least the fashion industry is pushing it this year as the hip-young-now-thing.

The only reason why I know this is my 66 yr old mother-in-law who thinks she's still 30, dropped 3K on a full lenght mink coat. The funny part is they live in MA and plan on moving to FL within the yr-- I'm sure she'll get a lot of use out of it there, and she wore it onto the plane when they went to FL to look at houses -- so she wore a $3K coat onto a plane just to have it crammed into an over head compartment.... makes perfect sense.

My wife and I both swear she is losing her mind...

I've subscribed her email address to every anti-fur newsletter I can find :-)

I am furious about the fact that a good fur coat is too expensive for me to buy my wife.

Julian your confusing me ! , This is a serious anti -fur thread . Your posting shaved whisker biscuit photos ,,,,,, an ah ah , what were we talking about.

Look at the post below this , A bike covered with the "endangered polyester tiger fur" So rare It is only found in Tiajuana or gay parts of southern ca. ,, Ok maybe the goodwill in Kanas City.

I said no to fur. My wife said yes. Funny, she said yes fairly often for a while after that.

Now the hottest thing seems to be a mink vest. I bought her a fake one for $100 instead of $500 and told her I was looking out for the animals. I went hunting the next day so I'm not sure she bought it.

How about Christmas Eve? I will be at my duck camp and plan to give as much death as possible, up to the legal limit, of course.

Seriously, I respect your attitude but I don't share it. Whether they are grown for meat, leather, racing, fur, bomb sniffing, pulling a sled, or whatever, animals are useful tools. It is immoral, IMO, to be unnecessarily cruel to any animal but they aren't and never will be human.
