Education/IQ/Income versus Votes

Here's a couple of sites correlating data against voting patterns:

Average State IQ vs Vote: (2004)

Education (% of bachelors degrees) vs Vote: (2000)

Average State IQ & Income vs Vote: (2004)

So there appears to be a negative correlation between income/intelligence and likelihood of voting for Bush. The thing I found interesting from the last site is that the state with the highest avg. income (DC) is also one of the dumbest. Could this be due to the high concentration of politicians?

Hign income in DC is due to the lobbyists and lawyers. They make all the money.

However, it would be somewhat offset by all the low military salaries at the pentagon.
