Quick Power Crank report.
Last night was my first real group ride outside this year. Our group of about 10 people did pace-line practice, roll-ups, a few hard jams and some other technique oriented stuff under the watchful eye of Wolverine Cycling Club Coach Michael R. Rabe. What I noticed was, after 10 weks on Powercranks on an indoor trainers my ability to spin higher cadences while staying "still" (not bouncing) on the saddle has been greatly enhanced. I used to ride consistently at 88 rpm but last night well over 100 was not too difficult (although I doubt I'd ride for 2 hours like that). I think my new "best" cadence is probably around 95 rpm. My running feels much better too. There has been some effect, no question.
