Now that all know you are not legally permitted to fly with CO2 cartriges, what should we do. Is it safe to assume that you can always get CO2's before a big race? Can we put them in a bike box if it goes UPS ground?????????

Yep, ship them with your bike. OR check with shops near your race destination and help the local economy.
