There's not much to manage in Outlook Express. Either you're getting the group or you're not. When you click on it, does the bottom message bar (on the left) say things like "connecting..connected..authorizing...downloading messages..." etc? Thats the process it goes through. If not you might not be set up correctly. There is no registration per se, but your ISP might make you authenticate to the news server.

Alternatively, you can access the group through www.deja.com and post as well.

However, having said that....I'm over here because I can't stand rec.sport.triathlon any more. It was once a thriving, useful newsgroup, but its been taken over by spammers, flamers, and vagrants.
