i'm going to seek out bobby sherman for guidance on what it is i'm supposed to do now.

You're gunna have to explain to about 90% of the people here who booby Sherman was.

What was the name of that tv series in the '70s with the three brothers in Seattle logging all those trees? And poor Bobby with the crying girlfriend all the time. All I can remember was that Joan Blondell was in it. Sad, sad years for tv in the '70s. Very sad years.

Congrats Dan. Did you have the correct response? Make sure you answer in the form of a question or that pompous ass Trebeck will be all over you.

Ah, yes. With a young what's-his-name of Starsky and Hutch fame if I recall correctly.

I know what I was doing wasting my time watching some of those shows back then, in Cypress, Ca of all places, but weren't you busy inventing some new fangled wetsuit or something at the time? OTOH, I'm guessing you were probably around 12 or 13 years old at the time.

AT: The word Cat can be found under this letter in the dictionary.
SC: I believe you'd find that in the R section.
AT: No, not in the R's.
SC: Not in the R's? That's not what your mother said last night!

SNL's jeopardy with Connery was only outdone by Second City's "half-wits".

Smelly.

damn frickin' funny. When Marty Short was on SNL, they re-did a close approximation to this.

I'm bumping this thread because we lost Alex Trebek today and he seemed to be an excellent human being.

one of the strangest and most interesting occurrences in my life. i never met alex trebek, but i always felt he was a real gentleman and easily the most dignified personality in the game show world. there's a thread on losing him in the LR.
