Older HED H3
I have a chance to buy a 2 year old HED H3 ridden only 300 miles.

Is there any difference between a older H3 model and the new ones? Did they do any improvements? Anything I should be aware when buying an older H3.
They seem to be pretty strong and therefore shouldn't have any problems.

How much would you pay for a 2 year old HED H3 ridden about 300 miles.

Thanks, Felix

I believe the only difference would be the decal color. When HED bought the design from Specialized, they put a smaller/lighter hub. HED now uses adhesive to make the connection between the hub and rim, as where Specialized used only friction and pressure to hold the hub on the rim.

I think $450 - $600 would be a fair deal depending on the cosmetics.

It is only a front wheel, not a wheelset. A new H3 front costs $399 to $449 on the web. I suppose your price is for a wheelset.

The wheel is not a Specialized, it is only 2 years old and already a HED wheels (when did HED bought the wheel from Specialized?) The Decal color is the actual red/yellow.

For the front, I think $250 - $300 would be fair. HED now uses white decals for the 2003. I did not like the red/orange so I bought some white ones to replace them. I believe HED bought the design 4 years ago, but please do not quote me on that.
