I noticed on my specialized/Hed 3 wheel that the "clear coat" is beginnning to wear away. does anyone know if this will effect performance or the life of the wheel. Also if it does affect it, can I have it re-coated?

How old is the wheel? Is it a HED product? HED is a high quality company to deal with. I would call them and find out their recommendation. Their web site is hedcycling.com, from there you can E-mail your question or call them direct. Once again, they are excellent people to deal with.
