I have used the Wipperman stainless for some time now. I am very, very happy with it. I bought a new bike and paid extra bucks to have the HG chain replaced. You can get them from Excel I am pretty sure, maybe Performance as well.

I have used the Whipperman chain as well and I am very happy with it. I love being able to drop the chain off for cleaning. My bike stays cleaner. It runs smoother too.

Julian had the Connex link fail one time. I haven't heard of any other failures, but I make sure I carry an extra link when I race. I haven't bothered for regular rides, but maybe I should.
