In the U.S. doping is widespread in sports. Unfortunately it gets pushed under a rug. Baseball, football, tennis, you name it and drugs are involved. every once in a while they will pop a third or fourth stringer just so they can say they are doing something about it. Until the BALCO affair no big names in the U.S. 'mainstream' sports had really ever been brought forward.

It seems to me that in Europe law enforcement has a little more 'freedom' to search and investigate this issue.

On another note, the guys at the top of the sport would still be at the top if there were no doping. It's an unfortunate and viscious circle that when one starts doping it forces more to do the same to stay competitive.

Iv'e said it before that doping will be tough to ever control due to the fact that the individuals and companies making the doping/cover products are always a step ahead of the investigators/testers.
