"Bal Ga" socks - embarrassing story
Ok, so at a race last year I got this pair of socks in my swag bag that I really liked - they felt good, they held up well and they have a little thing in the back that stops them from falling down into your shoe.

The socks had a strange name, though. It was "Bal" and "Ga" on either side of a weird symbol - so I assumed it was "Bal Ga."

I wanted to get some more of these, so I go to my running store and asked if they carried Bal Ga socks, and the clerk could barely keep from busting a gut when he asked me if I meant "Balega?"

Yeah, I felt pretty stupid. But you can't really tell that symbol is an "E"

That's funny. I have been wearing those socks for over two years, and I just realized that is Balega, not Bal Ga.

Thanks for the info. I won't be stupid next time I go to the shop.

That's OK. In my rookie year last year, I asked a friend about his "curve-el-yoh" He was nice, and didn't laugh too hard (in front of me, anyway)
