Installing new cassette: what tools do I need?
I've bought a new rear wheel for my 2009 Cervelo P2 (10 speed Shimano) and want to learn how to install the 10-speed cassette. Looking online, it seems I need a chain-whip and a crescent wrench. I've found the chain whip that is for Shimano 7-11 speed, but I want to know if there's a special type of crescent wrench I will need that is specific to Cervelo, or if a generic crescent wrench will work. The rear wheel is pretty expensive, so I don't want to mess it up, but I also feel like this is something I should be able to do myself. Thanks for help.

You need a chain whip and a cassette lockring tool. Some lockring tools require a crescent wrench (or similar) to turn them, some not.

And don't forget the spacers (1 x 1.8mm, 1 x 1mm) before sliding on the 10sp cassette - the new wheel will have an 11sp freehub.

This is the wheel: https://flocycling.com/...disc-aluminum-carbon and it says freehub is "Shimano/SRAM 10/11". So the default is the 11sp and you have to add a spacer if you have 10sp?

You need to put a 2.85mm spacer behind the cassette, or one 1.85mm spacer and one 1mm spacer.

Do you usually get the spacers with the wheel? Or with the cassette? Or is it something you buy separately?

Typically, the wheel manufacturer will include a 1.85mm spacer and Shimano will provide a 1mm spacer with the cassette.

If you bought the wheel new, correct spacer should have been in the box.
