Hi All,
Picked up a Giant Trinity Pro 1 2020 vintage a couple of weeks back.
Might sound stupid but having trouble attaching the aero hydration system. Appears the existing bolt on the stem/basebar and also used to attached the hydration clip to the base-bar/stem is not long enough to reach the thread with hydration clip.
Is this me being stupid or do I need a longer bolt?
Thanks,
Nathan
No, you're smart. Giant is stupid.
I had to go to buy the longer screw for the clip that goes on the fork headset area. The bolt included in the kit I bought was too short. That or the parts picker wherever the kit is assembled is an idiot.
My kit did include the correct length longer bolt for that plastic piece that goes on top of the stem. But that is longer also, and also needs a nice size washer so the bolt doesn't dig into the plastic.
I use it for long rides in summer then take it off to race TT.
Tip for removing the thing easier after a ride to wash it, unclip the straw stuff completely and the lock plastic piece that holds it to the stem comes off easier. The whole plastic rectangle that holds the straw grommet in place. It's a tolerance/interference thing.
