Turo rental car - any experience?
I'm trying to work logistics for racing St. George next October. It looks like my wife and kids may come, so I'm thinking a minivan for folks, gear, and my bike. Turo is far cheaper than the regular rental car companies. I'd be renting and then returning in Vegas - anyone have experience doing this? Thanks!

Only used Turo once and in Dallas to rent a Tesla for a few days. It worked great.

Turo worked well for me on a long hockey weekend that was too far to drive. Similar situation -- needed room for adults, kids, and hockey bags + sticks.

I was definitely sweating it a bit going in though, having never used it before, and especially since it seems like the vehicle owner can just cancel the reservation at any time prior to dropoff.

Thanks for the responses - just realized I somehow posted this in the classifieds by mistake!

Well before the move the thread…

I rented a car from Turo in Vegas for St George Worlds this year; best thing ever. First, the rental car pickup in Vegas sucks and is a huge PITA - with Turo the owner picked me right up. Better yet, for $200 less than what Hertz/Avis wanted to charge me for a Toyota Camry for a week, I got a Porsche Macan S. That included insurance too. Much easier to fit a bike in, and way more fun to drive. Couldn’t have been happier.
