If these measure power, count me in! I have used Speedplay pedals for 25 years and I am eager to get into power after riding on Zwift for a year.
Same (though ~10, not 25.) If I can get Speedplay powers at a reasonable price, I'll buy them on the 16th. If there's no power version coming out of Wahoo, then I'm jumping to Favero. It would seem like a massive miss to not 1) have their own power pedal to add to their ecosystem, 2) bring in all the existing Speedplay fans, and 3) buy Speedplay, do nothing for ~2 years, then come out with a rebadged version with no grease cap. Fingers crossed for sure.
I don't have any proof but I think we will see a power pedal. (
https://www.dcrainmaker.com/...er-pedal-future.html) Also I believe with enough of top eSports (Zwift, RGT, etc.) requiring dual power recording for pro/premier level racing, it would be foolish not to give sponsored teams and riders a way to do this within the Wahoo ecosystem. I mean MetriGear was able to do this about 15 years or so ago, so other than Richard Bryne's personal objection, I don't see why it hasn't been done already.
I do know that the redesign was to combat the rock that the butterfly plate created after some wear and to stop the pedal body deformation when under extreme load, I believe the stability in the new system opens the door for a nice power meter that I hope to equip on our bikes.
