What are your questions for Jan Frodeno? (Canyon 360 Podcast)
Jan is going to be on the Canyon 360 Podcast this Friday. (I'll tighten up this link when I get it, but this is Canyon's YT channel). It's going to be Canyon day here on Friday, with Lionel's hour record podcast (9:30am PST maybe?) followed just shortly afterward in the (west coast) morning with Jan's podcaset 11am PST.

Canyon is giving Slowtwitchers the job of putting forward some questions for Jan. So ... ?

How's the body healing up?

What are his thoughts seeing some of his peers doing some different challenges/events/races? (ie. Wurf with Ineos, Lionel with his hour effort, Skipper with his 12hr TT record, etc.) Did he have any thoughts about doing something out of the Tri norm?

What are his thoughts on the Daytona race and all the different racers coming together? (Not thoughts on COVID but really just how the dynamic will play out with short course and long course athletes competing together)

- what does your meal plan look like the day before an Ironman
- what will triathlon need to do in the next 5 years to keep growing the sport? what can we as amateurs do to help?

Since it is a Canyon podcast: What are a couple of your most memorable bike rides that weren't in races? What kind of riding do you see yourself doing the most when you're no longer racing professionally?

If Canyon let you design your bike, what would you change from what you have now (because we know nothing is perfect)?

1) You obviously eat well, but are you a calorie counter, fat gram counter, what really do you count if at all?
2) As you age, how has your diet and sleep quantity changed to accommodate the changes & requirements to remain at the top?

If there was no such thing as triathlon, how would you have earned a living? And do you think that it would be more money or less money that you are earning now?

Back when you were a "pure swimmer", how close were you to making the German Oly team in swimming??? If you had made the team, what year(s)??? What are your personal best times in the 100, 200, 400, 800, and 1500 m free??? Did you swim any of the other strokes and/or IM???

Was it "calculated" or was it "instinct" on when was the right time to put the hammer down with Whitfield surging at Beijing 2008. Did you feel he was going to early and would blow so were planning to go later, or were you caught flat footed and needed time to wind it up and it worked out? And what was your 100m and 200m running sprint speed then and what was your 100m and 200m swim PB's to open ITU races

Who in your opinion, among the best current ITU (now World Triathlon) draft legal racing athletes, will make a successful (be the biggest threat) when moving up to long distance (should they choose to do so for those who haven't yet, including those who have already dabbled into 70.3 a bit)?

Who is your pick to win (or be the biggest challenge for a win if Jan is racing it) Daytona?

What was the biggest adjustment, for you, moving up to long distance racing compared to ITU?

have you noticed any changes to your ability to recover as you have aged as an athlete and if so how do you manage that and factor into training.

What do you envisage as a career after Tri?

What measures have you taken to perform while also being a parent of a small kid. I'm especially thinking of sleep here, e.g. sleeping alone in another room, longer mid day naps etc?
