I was starting to wonder if I was the only person able to mount my tubeless tires with a floor pump. Even big gravel tires on wide rims, just had to do the half seat each side trick and they mounted up fine.

I have had success just using my normal floor pump, for 40s on my checkpoint. It requires a good 30 seconds of effort on the pumping, but once it seats it's no problem.
