Who looked the best doing it...
I was just watching IM New Zealand from 2017, and seeing Cam Brown coming off the bike and running through the field was impressive, especially at 44 years old! Watching his run form and technique over the years has been enjoyable. Everyone has a different style that works for them, but some just look better doing it.

Who are some of your favorites to watch swim, bike or run?

No question, it's Rinny for the run...

Definitely will have to say watching Jan Frodeno running down the Queen K in Kona last year... he had about 5km to go (and I was just heading towards the energy lab) and he just looked so effortless and fresh still. And then seeing Lionel a bit later made me feel much better about how I was feeling! (This would have been after his nutrition breakdown...)

x2.

Also, watching Faris bike & run was always entertaining!

Pink? Maybe. Maybe not. You decide.

I’ll go back a few years where my racing days are long over:

Swim: Alec Rukosuev. Absolutely perfect form in the water.

Bike: Bjorn Andersson. Used to see all the stories about him on Gordo’s old forum and then saw him at IMWI in 2005 blowing past everyone like they were standing still as he started his second loop.

Run: Tie between Cam Brown and Lori Bowden. Both always looked so comfortable when running so hard.

+1 for Rinny on the run (Lange is a close 2nd)

Sebi on the bike.

You guys and gals are too young. Mike Pigg was one of the strongest cyclists ever, real powerhouse on the bike and of course Dave Scott was a super runner.

Natasha Badmann on the bike. Compact, aero, smooth, no wasted effort and always smiling even when the winds were blowing.

My favorites to watch have been Dave Scott, Luc Van Lierde, Mark Allen... Pigg on the bike (as someone else said); Macca; Lionel just because of his effort and tenacity, not necessarily his form.

Neat question. Brings back memories.

That dude has made it look effortless for a very long time. Will throw in Peter Reid on the bike and run from that era as well - just looked so smooth.

Dave was an excellent runner (esp. at IM distances), but he was not a "pretty" runner. He even once described his running form as "the world's fastest duck." His running was impressive for the obvious effort he was expending to will his body to those times.

I remember being blown away by Alistair Brownlee's run form in 2012 Olympics
