How to post a picture?

I can't figure it out. I click on the icon, try to upload a url from imgur, picture doesn't load. Any help?

first off, brilliant! thank you! second off, see that icon? second from right? click that, and if you have the image sitting on your computer, choose FILE rather than URL, and your file will upload. if yo don't see these icons, refer to the sticky thread that's either the first or second thread on this forum and it's shown to you.

certainly there are limits to the fileweight if you use that utility, so, ben, your demonstrated method i think probably considers and accounts for that.

Glad to help! I figured this maybe also had the added benefit of reducing your hosting workload, which is probably why the file size limit is there to begin with?

i have nothing to do with the file size limit. it's hard coded, and we can certainly rejigger the code if need be, but the decision on that is way past what i get into. what i might do is try to expand the physical size of the image displays in a forum post.
