It's very possible to take classes that aren't degree-related. I took The Gods of Rock Guitar where the final consisted of correctly identifying 5-second riffs played in the lecture hall. Degree was in Computer Science. I'd totally take this Angry White Men Class.

Political Science seems appropriate.
