Yeah, that DEFINITELY warranted an apology
Quote | Reply
"There is no contradiction between respecting the risks that police officers take every day in order to protect this community, and recognizing the need to overcome the biases implicit in a justice system that treats people from different backgrounds differently, even when they are accused of the same offenses," Buttigieg said then. "We need to take both those things seriously, for the simple and profound reason that all lives matter."

While not explicitly apologizing for using the phrase "all lives matter," the Democrat POTUS candidate says he will no longer use the phrase.

I just like the fact that there’s a gay dude named “butt judge” who’s running for potus.

That said, he isn't wrong. It's just a shame he's all but required to denounce the phrase even though he made it clear where he stands and what he meant by it. It is used as a rebuttal by people who really don't give a flying fuck about the positive message and noble goals of the campaign.

The Democrats sure seem to be doing their best to have Trump win in 2020.

Seriously though, how could anyone possibly lose to a man like Trump, let alone lose to him twice...

Just once I'd like to see a Dem running for POTUS not apologize. He should've said, "I said what I meant and I meant what I said". Stop apologizing for fuck's sake.

Is the new DNC platform - apologize for everything at all times, it's the only winning strategy as a counterbalance to Trump never apologizing for anything?

Maybe it'll work, maybe it won't, but it's fucking annoying.

I dont think he apologized. I think he said that he didnt realize he said it, and will stop saying it in that context. If anything he is putting a spotlight on how the phrase "all lives matter" was made as counter to "black lives matter."

I know a lot of people who do not know the oranges of "all lives matter."

I never would have thought it possible, but I am changing my odds with this group of candidates so far.

Not sure why any white old dude is even going to put his hat in the ring for the Dems. Not this guy, but Creeper Biden and Crazy Bernie need to just sit this one out. They both have one foot in the grave and one on a banana peel and have a fundamental problem: They are white old dudes.

Will be fun to see the Dem party shift to the left and eat most of the guys alive on their own. If that happens, Trump has a shot.

Over in the Biden thread libs are pounding pubs for having a dual standard with candidates. Newsflash is that the Biden problem is not with pubs, rather other dem candidates and their followers, pubs don't care about Biden at this point, it's all just comedy for now.

Look at. history. A strong economy. The president gets re-elected.

So whether I think he does or doesn’t. That does not matter. The majority of the American people do.

Ok, so I looked at the Dow.

On January 26th, 2018 it was at 26,616

Today, April 5th, 2019 it's at 25,928

Is that what I was supposed to be looking at?

A logical person would see that the Dow was on fire before Trump took office and it continued for a year and now is basically at the same level it was a year ago.

Is that terrible? No.

But it's not amazing either.

The right consistently has positive control over their "influencers" in their base. It might not seem that way sometimes, but they do. Evangelicals sometimes throw out a gaff or two, but the left has nowhere near the control over BLM and #metoo.

This lack of control on that front is a problem, a problem that costs support and votes.

It's not that the message is tone deaf, it's that the message is out of control and not their own.

(all numbers rounded/approximate)

Day he was elected - 18,000
Day he took over - 21,000

So you are right - it was on fire from when he was elected.

The year before he was elected - 18,000 (18k to 18k - flat)

The year before that - 17,000 (6% increase)

No fire until he was elected.
