How in the world do you expect to see where you're going? Do you, like, use the force or something like that?

The chain is on the wrong ring :)

Except that, looks like a fast position to me :)

Like to see it with the helmet on, what are you wearing?

Looks plenty fast, the top of your head is as low as the highest part of your back.

giro aerohead.

i did some outdoor riding tucked in as low and as tight as possible, visibility isnt really that big a deal... head up occasionally to get a full view, eyes always up for a partial view.

normally I'm all in for more reach, but at one point in the video when op "adjusts" and chokes up slightly, it looks like he could come back just a hair. (maybe just the extensions, not full cockpit)

i’m not sure at what point the vid was taken, but at the end of the fit he wanted me to first stretch out a touch in the front to see if it added any overall comfort as he said he thought i was a hair too scrunched up. it did, so he moved my saddle back a hair and wanted me to try that out, which is what i ended up keeping.

maybe you’re seeing that part of the fit.

I feel there is a little too much drop with that reach and won't be too sustainable. You didn't seem settled and would like to see it on a dynamic bike how much "acceptance" the upper back would have if it your front end would have gone up 5-10mm and back 5mm while in motion. Granted we don't have a good amount of viewing time to see how well you settled in.

Were you applying much power at that point?

definitely hard to tell from a short video what exactly is happening. (If I saw it in person I might have the opposite opinion.) From what's presented, a few seconds in you pull your arms back, to me that's generally a sign the person has gone too far out and/or down and is (consciously or not) trying to come back and brace themselves.

Maybe not, might just be that moment of the video, or as you say the fitter is asking you to do something. Just my observation from the info I've got though.

I'd bring the seat forward about 15 mm. Maybe 10.

That's about it.

I think I have been fit by Tad 5x on various bikes, was always happy with his work. Would still be going to him if I had not moved.

just to address a couple of comments...

the changes made were very minor from my previous fit. i really didnt have any issues with my previous fit, i had just changed the tilt of my bars, reached them out a bit as i personally was feeling more scrunched up, and i changed saddles to get away from a ism that was giving me chafing in my inner thighs. i wanted to pay the fitter to check me out and get me back where he likes me and i feel comfortable.

my power output during the fit was, guestimate... maybe 60% or so? something on the lower end. i def wasnt putting out.

the moving around of my hands / arms was probably just me settling in and getting comfortable, or my adjusting to what the fitter was wanting me to try out. i think it was more of a inopportune timing of the video as a good solid reference point.

a couple of days after the fit i went for two different rides, 20 miles in the moring and 30 miles in the evening. overall the position felt really good and i was holding 75% comfortably, everything up in the cockpit area felt good and sustainable for distance. ive never really had a problem being very "aero" as far as comfort goes.

the only thing i was a bit concerned with was some pain i was getting in my inner upper thighs, mainly on my left side. ive been riding indoors on the trainer all winter and havnt experienced any road vibrations and bumps with my current saddle (dash). the roads i have to ride on close to my house are pretty sad, so im going to blame my issues on getting acclimated to the roads again, and bad roads at that. once i get some more miles on some better roads ill be able to assess more.

thanks for the comments and feedback from everyone.
