Wide triathlon bike shoe
I have been using a Shimano tri bike shoe, need to find a tri bike shoe with a wider toe box. Any recommendations or experience out there? I am a size 37-38, so unfortunately, using a men's shoe, which might have a wider design, isn't an option for me.

If no shoe recommendations, what about hacks? I already use the thinnest sock that I can find.

Bont's shape is a fairly mainstream wide shoe. Riot TR goes from 36 to 50. Lake would have been a good option, but you've got tiny feet!

I'm at the opposite end of the spectrum (49/50), so know how much of a bind it is when the options get limited... Good luck!

I have same problem, I have super wide feet and to make it worse one foot is wider than the other and also they are slightly different lengths - so no choice, went for Bont custom shoes - not cheap and had to wait 6-8 weeks for them to be made and shipped, but after 5 years of wearing them for at least 6 rides every week indoors and outdoors and approx 20k km per year on the bike they are still in near perfect condition and have always been super comfortable. When I need to replace them I will 100% go custom Bont again.

I have duck feet and the only shoe that’s ever worked for me besides my custom Simmons shoes were Bonts.

I consider my Northwave's Tribute as quite wide.

Looks like the Bont's are the easiest to find in my size, so will probably start there.

I use paper thin socks as it is now. I don't think I will be able to gain enough without socks.

Lake is certainly worth a look. Check out their fit guide on their website to get a start, and don't be afraid to reach out to them. They are very helpful.

As follow-up to my post.... I ended up getting a pair of Bont Riot TR+ shoes. Indeed, they have a much wider toe box. So far with a few short rides and one long (5 hr) ride, they seam to be doing great.

+1 to this. I have 6E feet and their wide sizes fit with and without socks.

I had a problem with a pair of shoes one time and they immediately overnighted me a new pair and didn't even want the old pair back.

+4. After foot surgery, I had to get wider shoes. Lake's availability and fit in their wide sizes work for me.
