Campagnolo 12 Speed

Supposedly it has been out for a couple of months but I just heard about it today.
I know there is a small Campy following here, has anyone started racing with the new groupset yet?

Sram MTB cassettes are $450, so clearly people will pay that....

Does anyone know if this can be setup as a 1x for tri bike applications?

I'm sure it could, if I were to go that route I would either look at getting the Campy Record track crank.

Can it be set up for tri bike applications at all? I haven't seen a Campy 12 speed bar end shifter yet.

With no clutch on the RD and no special chain-retaining features on the chainring (like a narrow-wide, or waved tooth pattern), that seems like a bad idea. Also, that takes a square taper bottom bracket, right? Can you even put one of those in most triathlon bike frames?

I would guess that at least 50% of high end bike frames sold this year have an English threaded bottom bracket.

What make you say that?

Looks like the crankset comes with ceramic bearing that sit in cups, just like the 11sp did?

Mike, you've heard about Rotor's 13 speed right? I think in a 1 or 2 year period, we will see Shimano & SRAM pull some 12 speed groups on the market. Campy is often first to the new gearing from what I recall in the past.

Are you talking about the 12 speed crankset, or the Record Pista single-ring track crankset? Because I was talking about the latter.

My apologies; I missed that.
