Ride from Niagra, NY into Canada ?
Will be in Niagra next week and trying to find a few rides / routes to do while there.
Mapped THIS one out but it's short and I was also wondering if there is any way to ride into Canada and back safely?
If any locals know of any good 20 - 40 mile rides ...... let me know.
Thanks!!!!

You can take your bike across any of the bridges but from where your route is mapped the rainbow bridge has a nice walking path.

On the other side either head north or south on the Niagara Parkway. You will find lots of summer groups out along the the Niagara Parkway "the prettiest drive in the world”.

If you want a longer run then head out of NF on highway 20 and enjoy the roads around Short Hills Provincial Park. Tons of Strava segments around there.

Or just stop straight in Niagara Falls and go up and down Murray Street and Clifton Hill:

Used to be able to ride over the peace bridge, but current construction is prohibiting that. There is a shuttle that will drive you and your bike across the bridge to and from fort Erie, but then you’re stuck dealing with bridge traffic. Unfortunately, the best bet now is to drive over, park, and ride the parkway.

Yes - Perhaps the widening construction underway on the Peace Bridge will result in a better bike route back and forth.

Where ever you try and cross you'll of course need your passport!

The Niagara Parkway, as another suggested is a great ride - great pavement, limited cars and wonderful views. If you can find it, there is a great rail trail that runs east-west to the west of Fort Eirie close to the shoreline of Lake Erie, that I discovered completely by chance last year. It's an awesome ride. Stop in at the Brimstone Brewery - http://www.brimstonebrewing.ca/ in Ridgway for a bite to eat and a pint mid-ride.
