Making a claim in Canada under TriBC coverage?
Hey, asking on behalf of a friend, anyone have experience with or knowledge of whether there is any insurance provided by Tri BC similar to the USAT insurance for injuries during a sanctioned event?

Could you PM me if so?

TIA

https://www.tribc.org/membership/

"Triathlon BC insurance only covers medical costs above what would normally be provided by BC Medical Services Plan (MSP) while you are participating in approved Club training sessions and Triathlon BC-sanctioned events. It does not cover damage or loss of equipment."

Right, I saw that. If someone is not enrolled in that coverage then, would costs be covered? Or covered only over what BC would have paid? Not familiar with Canada's lauded healthcare system so looking for info to see if there are any resources to help my friend. Not looking for equipment coverage

With something as important/complicated as out-of-country medical coverage, I would suggest your friend contact TriBC to get the definitive answers to their questions and then follow up with their personal insurance agent to see what additional coverage may be necessary.

Here's a link to information about BC MSP coverage:

Sorry I can't be more helpful.
