Garmin Scale/Training Peaks
Forgive me if this is a repeat topic but have there been any updates to the Garmin Scale/Training Peaks connectivity? If so, I apologize in advance because I've somehow missed it.

You can now pay with a Garmin watch so why in the heck can't they upload something as simple as your weight to Training Peaks?

Any advice/help/tips/workarounds would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Good question! (I don't know the answer, but I would like to know.)

There is a website called fitnesssyncer.com that I am successfully using to send WIthings scale data to TrainingPeaks. The FitnessSyncer FAQ says that they have a "Body Composition Source is used for tracking weight and data from scales, including the Fitbit Aria, Garmin Index Smart Scale, Nokia Health (Withings) Body Scale, and others.". Give that a shot.

I don't have a MyFitnessPal account but what you're saying is that if I create one and then connect my scale to it the data will upload to Training Peaks? If this isn't correct then detailed instructions would be appreciated.

Again, seems like a lot just to get your weight in Training Peaks considering all the other connectivity Garmin offers....just my two cents....

I use MyFitnessPal, and it syncs my calories in/out and macronutrients (estimates, cause everything you track in MFP is kind of a guess). But my weight that is in MFP does not transfer to TrainingPeaks.

I use the barcode scanning option. I started using MFP mid-march I am down 16+ pounds since.

I've used my Withings Scale and MyFitnessPal for 4+ years now and it has always synced to Garmin & Training peaks.

here is the beta they are trialing at the moment. syncs index scale to training peaks. Now all we need is to be able to view weight in KG when all other setting are for imperial.

Good start though and I haven't had any syncing issues thus far.

which they then sell to the highest bidder on the dark web...

I've closed my MFP account and input the weight manually from TrainingPeaks to Garmin Connect. TrainingPeaks is fed by FitnessSyncer from the Withing Scale.

Thanks for this link Buzz! I've been manually entering weight into TP, guess I need to update Metrics to include all the information that the Index scale collects.

Now if we could sync other metrics from activity trackers - like resting heart rate.

We are currently beta testing an integration with Garmin's Health API. So far things are working as expected and we plan to call it released in early June. As posted earlier you can test out this feature by connecting your accounts here: https://www.trainingpeaks.com/account/garminhealth

Updates on this feature will be posted here:

Do you sync your weight to any other platforms from the Garmin Index scale?
