Hi,
does anyone around here Run their Shiv TT with a different Bar Setup, esspecially stem, like pro evo or Aeria Ultimate or bkltec M3 and could post some pics?

I've read that some Guys run DI2 internaly in their Shiv TT around here, i'm Versand interested in Pics where to drill the frame.

I'm also looking for any spares for Shiv TT.
feel free to offer everything :)

Cheers , Chris

USE (ultimatesportsengineering.com) had an adaptor for their R1 bar to go on the shiv TT, but can't find any mention of it now.
Pro Missile Evo as on the team bikes in the past required a custom stem afaik

I'd drill the metal piece for the cable entry into the top tube and put an RS910 there.

Hi,
yea i know the R1, but don't like the levers :(

You fit an RS910? Must be a big hole right?

Do you have a pic of that build?

Would really appreciate that! :)

A friend was digging into this a while back, he was convinced the Vuka Stealth would fit... but he ended up buying a different bike, so not sure.

Fwiw, if the R1's use the same design as the Tula (I think they do) you can always run the flight pods for "normal" brake lever setups.

Ah okay, that could be an option, never Seen the flight pods before. But Not sure if the R1 stem allows the frontbrake cable routing for the Shiv. Did not See an exit hole underneath

I use a "normal" Specialized stem at -28 and a TriRig Alpha bar.

Has anyone tried if the new Profile Design Aeria Ultimate stem will fit in a Shiv TT with an 1" steerer adaptor? It has nearly the same routing option than the stock stem.

I have a pretty custom setup that I made by modifying the stock Shiv parts. What are you trying to accomplish with a new bar.

Mostly I would like to run DI2 fully internal, and maybe become independend from parts that can't be supplied by Specialized anymore.

What did you modify?

Pretty much everything. My pedestals are made out of the original narrow upper pedestal parts and I modified them so I can change bar height in about 60 seconds. I make my own extensions and use different arm cups. ...

I really don't like the idea of drilling frames for cabling/Di2 because the steer tube area is probably one of the more highly stressed area but lots of people do it without incident. I run ETap and mount the Blip Box on the bars, so I don't have that problem.

I also don't like to drill a frame, especially that one.

But the blipbox is sooooo huge :(

Does the eTap work properly on your bike?
I'm asking cause SRAM says the Shiv TT is Out of their specifications.

Hi, yes, I'm running my Shiv with Etap now, works pretty well.
But thinking now about switching to 1x11, so problems never end hahaha.

Do you change the bar and or stem , I’d love to be able to run a different bar on a shiv TT?
Thanks

With a file, I was able to get the PD Aeria Ultimate to fit on a Shiv TT Medium. It’s a heavy pig so I wasn’t worried about the minimum about of material that I removed from the back.

I bet Wattshop would do their aerobars with a Shiv adapter plate. Check out Ronald Kuba's YouTube video of his Wattshop bars on a Speed Concept.

I am running Di2 internally on my Shiv TT. It is a totally custom set up with virtually all cables hidden.
