Help me find my wife a road saddle
So ever since my wife got her road bike last year, she's complained about the saddle - we bought her a Specialized Amira, which came with the Oura saddle. After constant tweaking and such, there is still a lot of soft tissue pressure as well as sit bone pain after longer rides.

The fitter at my bike shop then recommended to try the Specialized Power saddle which was better, but still not 100% - she could ride longer (a little over an hour before pain), and the soft tissue pain was pretty much all relieved with the larger relief channel, but her sit bones still bother her. She did sit on the "assometer" thing to measure her sit bones before choosing a size of 143mm.

So not sure if anyone has thoughts or ideas on where to go next - I just want to have some saddles in the back of my mind before going back to the fitter so we can have a good discussion about finding the right one for her.

Thanks!

What shorts is she riding?
High quality chamois can go a long way at easing sit bone pain.
Because of the need for relief of soft tissue pressure, she's probably going to need saddles that focus weight on her sit bones.

With that said, I'm surprised there was pressure on the Oura. It may be worth re-checking that saddle and determining if she was sitting far enough back on it (E.g. moving the saddle forward but keeping the same knee to spindle location).

Find a shop that has a saddle demo program where you can ride multiple saddles.

How often does she ride? Sometimes it just takes getting the sit bones "calloused up".

If saddle after saddle is not solving the problem, the true problem is somewhere else.
The Assometer is a silly way to determine which saddle to buy.
Saddle issues can come from the feet.
Saddle problems can come from the saddle being too high or too low.

What sort of cycling shoe and pedal system is she using?

Happy to see photos' or pm me.

I had a bike fit done last summer and ended up with so many saddle issues and knee pain that I nearly quit riding. I found that raising my handlebars up about 3/4 of an inch solved most of my comfort problems.
