Just signed up today for training peaks. I happened to have 10 or so rides on my garmin, and was able to load those in. What I would like to do, is load the year of strava rides. Is there way to do this without doing a single ride at a time? Thanks

I use this to sync from garmin -> strava & training peaks.

But I believe it goes from any to any (to the extent that the provider allows export)

Just logged in and saw ATP added in the app view woohoo!

Of course I got a bug up my ass monday and updated it all in the old one despite knowing it was coming this week.

I like the little race symbol with ABC, of course now I have to go delete all the races I manually put in but not a big deal.

If only now someone over there can get their hands on the pending Windows 10 app porting tool and get this on my windows phone I'll be ecstatic. (looking at you too garmin)

Do you still have the files from your Garmin? They are usually stored on your PC somewhere. If you do you can bulk upload with Device Agent.

I was able to get all my old strava files uploaded. Now the hard part is trying to understand what I do with all that info. So far, I am so overwhelmed by all the numbers that I don't do anything. I really don't understand the purpose of the program yet. I wish there was a beginners guide to it or something?

Trying to get in compliance with TP's process but workout did not load from Garmin Connect to TP yesterday. Downloaded app and Mac says it is not from an approved developer or approved in App Store. I bypassed security on the system and loaded Device Agent. It is not intuitive but got it to work but it crashed as soon as download was complete and i had to re-boot my Mac - yes, everything is updated and current on Mac. I've had numerous slow loads in the last few weeks from Garmin Connect to TP.

1. When will software function in the way demanded by TP? (i.e. Garmin connect loads every time)
2. While you work to improve this function can you provide Classic view or at least a way to load TCX files manually in TP? Strava can do this without problems or errors - why not TP?
3. When will the Device Agent software be approved for use on the Mac? It is buggy and causes issues as is.

1. Garmin sends to TP, if it is not syncing it is typically just a backlog at Garmin that causes it. You can try disconnecting the sync, waiting a while and reconnecting but it's usually just a backlog on the Garmin end.

If you are having issues with file uploads via a browser or via Device Agent contact support who will assist with troubleshooting.

Training Peaks Metrics: I am recording my weight fairly regularly in TP. Recently, the line graph that shows weight over time is not connecting points going in chronological order. There are actually "loops" in the line graph.

I've done a search but come up with nothing. Is there a way for me to create my own training plan and save it in TrainingPeaks? I currently have a 'Athlete' account, and all I can find is an option to create an annual training plan which is 'guided'. Is there a way to create a free form training plan by myself?

OK you have two options....

Lay out your week of workouts and then copy and paste that into subsequent weeks and make the required edits or,

Create your workouts in the Workout Library and then drag and drop them onto the calendar.

So this has been going on for a couple of days:

I have a premium athlete account. I am writing workouts to save in my library. I go through writing the workout putting in the title, time, and description. When I am done and go to click save, it deletes a large portion of the text I just entered in the workout description.

Tried using both chrome and firefox. Logged in and out of my account. etc. The issue persists.

Thanks in advance for your help.

No I hadn't. I knew I would get a pretty quick response on this thread so I tried this first. I will email support.

Thanks for the quick reply, and maintaining this thread as well!

Cheers

This seemed a little silly so I wrote a utility for myself that inserts recurring workouts for the next n weeks - kind of like the meeting recurrence feature you find in outlook or gmail. It uses the TrainingPeaks webservice API to insert the workouts. Is this something that would be of general use? Are there other TrainingPeaks tools that athletes/coaches want?
