I had a StatMech (4th yr) prof who, on day1 of the class, said to me, the only female in the class, "shouldn't you be off ironing something?"

This was 1995 and at a major Canadian Uni. Got an "A" just to piss him off. :-)

Amazing how much ego some profs can have. And yet some are so freakin awesome. Sigh.
