It is listed here...

In a nutshell the athletes lose the Premium features (PMC, some charts, calendar sync, etc...)

Edge 500 saves it FIT format doesn't it? How are you getting TCX files off a 500? TCX file uploads are a known issue, the file size of TCX is huge compared to other files and there is a problem with those currently. Three options...
1.Use FIT files, Edge 500 defaults to this
2. Use Device Agent to upload
3. Upload to Garmin and use AutoSync
PS it's not a problem with run files because runs are usually shorter and I'm assuming you have a power meter, cadence sensor which adds tons of data :)

When I save them through Garmin training centre it saves them as TCX, I assume this does the conversion?
When you go through classic it works

With the Edge 500 plugged into your PC/Mac you can simply drag the FIT file right off the device and into TP and bypass Training Centre. It is a known issue with TCX files and the new TP where large file sizes timeout.

I've also been seeing as issue with TCX files and Device Agent.
I got a Polar M400 in a post Christmas sale - when I download the TCX file from Polar Flow and upload via Device Agent it contains the time and distance but no GPS track (although it records the start and stop point) or pace data, presumably why it calculates zero rTSS score.
If I upload direct from the Training Peaks app it uploads all the data without a problem. Obviously I can just keep doing that but given that it's the same file it seems a bit odd.
Hopefully there will be a push from Polar Flow to TP at some point..... don't know whether that is down to Polar or TP to sort that one?

So the same TCX file uploads with no GPS/Pace via Device Agent but works fine if you upload direct to TP? Do you have the latest version of Device Agent (3.0.93.14)? If DA is up to date and this is happening I'd suggest contacting support, this is odd!

Note: not actually for Rodney since he doesn't actually work for TrainingPeaks, but if someone who does is listening here's my 2014 Christmas list (yes, I've been thinking about this for a while)
Feature Request/Enhancements for Premium Accounts:
- When I upload a run activity it automatically calculates things for me such as NGP, which is a great metric. Unfortunately, I need to go back and use the elevation correction tool to ensure that my data is more accurate. I would expect that the NGP would be automagically updated. Instead I have to click upload and then recalculate to get the elevation relevant calculations to update. It would be excellent if I could set the "Elevation Correction" to automatic and it would use that data for the relevant metrics. I'm guessing most people haven't even noticed that the NGP doesn't update after doing an elevation correction (hopefully I'm not imagining this!).
- My coach prescribes several interval workouts via the description block. It would be nice if he could develop the workout in a similar fashion the the Garmin Connect Workout Builder and Sync that back to Connect in some fashion. After that information is in the site I would upload my activity and it would sync back to TrainingPeaks. TP would then see that each activity "lap" coincided with a given workout step and would pair the data against that effort. I could see in one quick glance (greens, yellows, and reds like the workouts) how I did on each effort. With the ability to automatically sync runs to runs, bikes to bikes, etc. I would think that this is a good logical next step! Sure there's some difficulties here, someone decides to hit the lap button a couple more times after the workout (then he's an idiot!), someone doesn't use the workout feature and screws up the laps (another idiot!), etc. but I think that something of this sort could be worked out!

An option to enable automatic elevation correction has been suggested (by me and others) and I believe it is under consideration but NGP goes update when you apply elevation correction if/when it actually changes.
As for part two that might be difficult but you can suggest ideas here http://peaksware.uservoice.com/...ks-customer-feedback

Done, submitted a request.
I'll have to keep a closer eye on the elevation correction, but I swear the last few times I've had to manually recalcuate the workout. Maybe I'm jumping the gun before it updates in the window?

I'm a new TrainingPeaks Premium user. Can you direct me to any information that will show me the following:
- what the colors mean for the workouts in calendar view.
- How to upload Garmin Data directly to TrainingPeak, without using Garmin Connect as a go between
- How to get time splits to show up in the workout view after uploading data.

The colors relate to workout compliance, as in how close to the planned time/distance you completed. http://help.trainingpeaks.com/...lored-workouts-mean-
You can upload directly to TrainingPeaks using either Device Agent or simply drag and drop the activity file into the TrainingPeaks web app.
Time splits will show up if they were recorded by the device.

Thanks for the quick response. The link you gave me explains what the red, yellow and green colored workouts mean. What does purple mean? I have 2 rides that I did this week. One is purple. One is green. Both were completed 100%. Why are they different colors?
I'll download device agent to my Mac. Can I then turn off the Garmin Connect Device Agent? I'm assuming they are different...
I'm having trouble seeing my swim splits in TP after they've been transferred automatically from Garmin Connects. How do I find them?
Re: Official TrainingPeaks Thread [anitan1]

If you have uploaded data but the workout is still purple it means you didn't enter a planned time/distance. If you have Device Agent you still need the Garmin ANT Agent to copy files to your Mac. You could also just enable Garmin Auto Sync which will sync your Garmin Connect to TrainingPeaks.
If you expand the activity you will see the splits and rests as you hit the lap button on the device.

Apologies for any duplication - my coach sets me a brick in TP, but when I upload my 920XT I end up with the assigned activity with no data populated, plus three others - bike, transition, and run. Is there any way to make the file just populate the activity to reflect the training as one entry? Thanks for any info!

Sounds like your garmin is splitting the mult sport into 3 files. You can choose to have it saved as one file if you wish. On the other hand you can plan your bricks as different workouts for each sport, then your current settings would work fine

Hey Rodney,
I have one more question. My coach schedules swim workouts for me in TP, but when they upload from my Garmin they show up as "Other" workouts. Without leaving TrainingPeaks, is there a way to bring the data from the Other Workout into the swim workout, so that all of the times and splits are there?

Garmin 310xt. No pool swim mode.
OK, that is why it uploads as Other. Because the Garmin doesn't have a pool swim mode it tags it as Other. The only thing you could try is to manually upload it via the upload button in the swim activity on your calendar.
