Goals for this week
1. No bingeing. DISTRACT myself if I feel the urge! I can read, work on presents, clean, do Dutch vocab... didn't binge!
2. Take a day off from running. Keep total miles less than or equal to 50 neither
3. Swim at least 15k... I am trying to hit 365 miles for the year in the water and I really need to up the swim yards if that is going to happen. not going to hit 365 miles of swim. Didn't get 15k swim as it was so nice I biked a second day rather than swam
4. bike at least once done rode twice

It has been so nice to ride my bike in Maine in December!

M: 8 mi run + 1600 yd swim
T: 4.5 mi run + 4850 yd swim
W: 9.5 mi run + 4700 yd swim
T: 8 mi run + 10 mi bike
F: 7 mi run + 2000 yd swim
S: 9.5 mi run + 7 mi bike
S: 9.5 mi run

total 13,150 yd swim + 17 mi bike + 56 mi run

goals for this week: day off from running, swim 3x, bike 3x

maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine

@tigerchik - The number of miles you run every week just blows me away.

My week was pretty good apart from feeling over socialised. It was when on the 22nd, at dinner, the other half said "oh by the way, there's a potluck lunch at my workplace on Christmas Eve and spouses are expected to come" that I lost my shit a little. I got through all the social engagements though and am hoping for a quiet week this week. Also, despite eating what felt like ALL the dessert in sight, I lost weight this week.

Last week I managed 5 runs (wanted 6), 3 swims (tick) and 3 bikes (tick). This week aiming for the same as last week; if I can get a 4th bike in it'll be a bonus.

12 days until I head to Maui - the countdown has begun!

I would have been mad about that too... cool that you got to "have your cake and eat it too" though!

Last week's goals:
Run x 3: WIN with 4
Core/strength x 3: WIN

Campmas happened, though we only got 1 night in the woods instead of 2 - there was something unappealing about hanging out in a place with a high water table / shallow tree roots / lots of recently-fallen trees with 65kph/40mph winds. We had a fun time: hung up some Christmas lights at our site, drank hot buttered rum & toasted marshmallows over the fire, hiked a lot, and discovered we need to go back to that park with our mountain bikes because the trails would be a hoot to ride! We're also going to have to try camping for Family Day in Feb to see if we can actually find some snow & cold weather - not even a single flake to be seen & temps never got below 4c/39f.

The whole "not eating like an asshole" thing was a fail.

2.5 weeks until the Frosty Trail 3-hour. At least I'm ramping training back up again since I don't actually have to DO anything to prepare for New Year's Eve (just going to a party at a friend's house), and all of the leftovers will be gone by tomorrow. Since I'll be the DD for NYE I'll probably just have 1 small drink when I get home with my sweetheart, and everything will be back to business as usual by Jan 2nd.

This week's goals:
Run x 6
Swim x 3
Bike x 3
Core/strength x 3

Cheers!

good week.
However this week my pool is closed. Seems there was an accident on Christmas Day. So it won't re-open until Jan. 2.

Good holidays, seeing family and friends. Had a week off from work which was GREATLY needed and loved every minute of it.
Started some spring marathon prep and biking when I feel like it.

Ha, I think I'm your opposite. I likely would have been 'sweet'! with regards to the potluck. I'm such a social person, I need almost no 'down time' - what 'down time' I do get is when I'm exercising solo... that said, I tend to do as many group workouts as possible since...I'd totally rather workout with others... well, sometimes I'm shocked I do tris.
It's definitely why I don't do IMs. Too much "alone" time.

Hooray for Hawaii!!

I had a pretty good week. Christmas was nice, aside from a sick kid & husband. The cold that won't quit has attacked me again - I'm unimpressed.

I had an okay week last week - 3 runs (two on my new treadmill). I indulged a bit, but being sick curbed my appetite enough that I'm relatively unscathed (and most of the leftovers/goodies are gone).

Goals for this week include a 5km fun run with my sister on New Year's day (probably more of a walk, but I talked her into it so we'll do it at her pace). And at least 2 more strength sessions. I am super wimpy & the only way to get back to where I was is to put in the work. Also - getting rid of this cold once & for all - enough is enough.

*edit* - has anyone calibrated their treadmill?? My new one seems "harder" at the same speeds. I normally run at 1% incline - but have put it down to zero (no 0.5 options - just 0,1,2,3 etc).

Spent the week in Kansas. Swam once (84F pool) and walked once with Dad (+2 miles). Got sick towards the end of the week and I now have a ranging ear infection so just got on meds.

But I did get to spend time with these guys.

mistressk, re: FAT - Ditto here :-)

Last week, I worked until mid-day on the 24th, then loafed, slept, ate, drank, etc. Managed 4 runs last week and not much else. I'm cool with that. I really needed some down time - Jan is going to be busy!

This week, run 4x, SKATE 3x, then go to Toronto for work the following week (found a SS club to skate with while there). Got good stuffs for xmas including my long track skin suit, and orange merino boyshort undies to keep me warm underneath (plus makes the changing easier) - apologies for the pic (the 10yo took it):

I feel kinda funky, like Peter Venkman when he gets slimed. I am actually worried that the suit is too BIG for me - I'll have to ask the coach her thoughts. I get to skate in it on Sat at practice, so we'll see - test run as it were. :-)

Christmas with the toddler was actually quite low key. Dinner came out really well and we had a lovely evening. I'm feeling like a successful mum because my little has played with her "big gift" every day since Christmas.

Goals for last week:

Swim * 2 - done
Run * 3 - ran twice, holiday scheduling fail with the husbeast killed my weekend plans.
Bike * 4 - easy to do with the bike commute
Strength * - 1 done

Goals for this week:
Swim * 2 - it's forecast to be actually freezing the the SF Bay on Thursday and Friday. Still gonna go to masters!
Run * 3 - already at two so I'm going to try and get one in on Saturday, may be a stroller special.
Bike * 4 commute + 2 actual workouts
Strength * 2 - if I can get myself out to yoga on New Year's Day

Happy New Year All!!
