Hi Dave,

there should be no problem with it. Just keep an eye on whether the any play develops later. I had the same situation once and removed the spacer, only to have play later on - I hadn't seated the drive side well enough the first time around. Or maybe your bearings aren't pressed in all the way (could be only a few tens of a mm, maybe).

Hi nick. I was interested in getting a power 2 max power meter but wanted to get one that's under $1000 hopefully. I have sram red components and 172.5 cranks arms. What would you recommend me getting for a good price?

Hi,

our best priced option is the FSA Gossamer, which is from $899. With A SRAM Red you'll have to add a bottom bracket. Which version of the SRAM Red do you have? GXP or BB30?

Hi Noel,

your Garmin 810 will want to do a zero offset calibration on start up. You don't need to worry about it at all, because every time you coast more than 2 seconds and don't pedal the unit does it automatically.

Hi,

then you can go for hte FSA Gossamer ($899), and Megaexo bottom bracket ($36) and you can reuse your existing chain rings from the SRAM Red. If they're worn - the Praxis Works package is a very good deal ($99 instead of $185).

Thanks Nicolas! I appreciate all of your help. I did have one more question though, what bottom brackets would be compatible with the GXP. If I wanted to upgrade from the $899 fsa gossamer. I dont want to order the wrong one

Hi palmer,

the bottom bracket is GXP in the case of SRAM. You need to remove that and install a Megaexo bottom bracket for BSA (which is the frame format).

Sorry for all the abbreviations :-).

Looking to purchase (2)Classic power meters w/ Rotor 3DF and 52/36 chainrings. Is there any assembly on my end when ordered as a complete unit? Secondly, both bikes are bb30, no additional parts are needed, correct?

Hi Nicolas,
Just wanted to clarify. I have SRAM red GXP. Felt 2009 b2r

Would getting the power2max rotor 3d with the rotor BB1 for BSA be compatible? I dont want to get the wrong bottom bracket. Thanks so much!!!

Hi Palmer,

yup, you remove the GXP bottom bracket from the B2R. The threads follow the BSA standard. You then install the BB1 bottom bracket for BSA and you're good to install the Rotor 3D.

Hi aries,

we usually ship the same or next day (last week was an exception due to Sea Otter). In our experience it takes 2 to 5 days for shipping within Canada.

Hi,

apologies, the end of last week was a little special due to Sea Otter Classics. We are back in the office and working through the orders. Your power meter should go out today or tomorrow.

Question regarding Rotor 3D w/power2max... what's the best BB30 to BSA converter... looking to swap cranks between my road bike and CX bike; CX bike is BB30 road is BSA. I've heard that most all make annoying sounds when on the BB30

Hi,

we had good feedback on the Rotor BB30to24. The even better solution may be to go with a Rotor 3D+ and BSA30 bottom bracket on the BSA if you are concerned about this.
