So I stepped in my wife's shower tonight and counted 9 bottles of products in there. That seems a little excessive to me. I'm just wondering if that's typical?

I have 1 bottle of shampoo, 1 bottle of conditioner, and 1 bar of soap.
ETA - shaving cream + razor too; sometimes a bottle of face wash
maybe she's born with it, maybe it's chlorine
If you're injured and need some sympathy, PM me and I'm very happy to write back.

Not typical. Does she have a bottle for every body part plus her hair?

I didn't do a full inventory breakdown but I think most were shampoo and conditioner, in matched sets of course, then some bodywash, scrubs? etc.

Your wife has her own shower?

1 shampoo, 1 conditioner, 1 bar of soap and - I admit - a razor, a small tube of scrub and a pumice. AP

Daily shampoo, daily conditioner, post-swim chlorine-removing shampoo, weekly deep cleansing shampoo, weekly deep conditioning treatment, soap, face wash, exfoliating scrub. What are you saying?

Never thought to count but my wife probably has a around that. I've only got a bar of soap and bottle of shampoo, but then I'm a simple guy. :-)

Yep, unscented shampoo and conditioner for everyday use, especially when I'm outside with the bugs; anti-chlorine shampoo and conditioner for post-pool; and "luxury" moisturizing shampoo and conditioner for, well, just because I like it. ;-) Plus liquid and bar soap.
Hubby only has one shampoo, but he doesn't swim. And he borrows mine when he thinks I'm not looking. I don't get my own shower.

I have my own shower (DH has the master bath and whirlpool tub).
I have shampoo and conditioner, a deep conditioner, body wash, a bar of soap, regular face wash, and tea tree oil wash for the junk and bike shorts. Oh, and sugar scrub. That's 8 things. I am a low maintenance person and take two-three minute showers most days.
DH, on the other hand, has about 97 bottles and jars of scrubs and salts and bath bombs and what not. He takes long showers and baths.

Perhaps she has her own shower because of the 9 products.

It's not really HER shower then. The products are taking over…..

Pretty much nothing in my shower as I take 99% of mine at the gym or pool. It is my gym bag which is full of product , though not much.

I defend the fact that I can relate.

1 Shampoo, 1 conditioner, bar of soap and liquid soap (they both smell good), a facial mask, razor, foot scrub.
I have my own shower but I also live by myself so I can clutter it up as much as I want without someone posting about it on a message board

Just to clarify a couple points.
I guess I shouldn't call it "her" shower as we do technically share it...she just shares it a lot more than I do.
I think one of the bottles of product is meant for me. It's the really big bottle that she empties all her nearly empty bottles into. I think she also disposes of the products she decides she doesn't like into that one as well.
I think I just figured out why I don't have much hair left.

I'm guilty of this, but I caught some good deals lately on hair products.

I have my own shower, unless someone is staying in our guest room. Then I have to share the master.

9 is amateur :) I'm not even going to try to add up how many are in mine.

Have my own shower too, but I could fit at least 8 people in it.
One shampoo, soap, razor. I shower as much at either the pool or the gym.

My wife has no less than 18 bottles of hair shit in the shower at one time. And when the local beaty supply has its "liter sale" she can justify in her head spending $200 on shampoo. No joke.

I am a simple woman -- or maybe I'm a simple guy in a woman's body. At home, one bottle of shampoo, a bottle of conditioner that's been in there for probably six years (neither of us uses it, but we're both too cheap to throw out a nearly full bottle of anything), and a bar of soap. At the gym, they supply shampoo, conditioner (which I seldom use), and liquid soap, so I use their stuff.
Ha ha...this thread cracked me up! I guess I am pretty simple - 1 shampoo (mild, cheap, smells good), 1 conditioner and 1 razor. Use the shampoo as a body soap. I'd buy 9 bottles of stuff though, if it would get me my own shower so I didn't have to share with hubby/kids!!!
