@Jeff and all interested, here are the specs for the small parts of the Type S:

Battery cover screws: M2x5 flat head, ISO7045
o-ring: 25x1

Both the o-ring and the plugs are not generally available, the plugs are specific.

Nicolas, as this might become a common theme, can you toss a spare o-ring and maybe 2x screws into the order I made yesterday? Just as a suggestion, as it's a near-zero cost item in the grand scheme of things, automatically include a spare o-ring and a few screws in everyone's order!

Thanks,
Dave Mercer

Nicolas,

I placed an order on 2/24/2014 for my crank powermeter, order # 200480. Could I add a Rotor 3D crank tool to another order and still recieve $ 15.00 discount on tool? Any update on order would also be appreciated.

Dennis

Hi

I notice on the box of the power meter there is a warning re in correct torque tightening of the battery compartment. I don't have a torque meter for such a small screw, does anyone (Nic of P2M or other users) know whether just 'nipping' it twist tight will be ok or not? I would rather not buy a torque wrench for just this as my other suffices for all other jobs.

I realise Nic, you probably can't officially say "it's ok to just nip it up" as it is a potential warranty issue, but maybe how much affect or impact this compartment tightening has on the power meter would give an insight into the delicacy or not.

Thanks.

@warrenroadie: sure thing on the tool, I'll update you on the order via email, just saw that.

@themusette: Just tighten it with 2 fingers until you feel the resistance has increased. The reason we have put this is that some users think tighter = better and overdo it, ripping out the threads.

Hi Nicolas

Cheers.

I am not on FB anymore, but I will gladly send you an image for your FB page (drop me an email to have your email address) - as long as you give a credit for it; gotta try and earn a living still and it's either project management or my photography...or both ;-)

Thanks again for the guidance.

Time to watch your team in the breakaway in Tirreno Adriatico - Alex Dowsett of Movistar on the charge.

hi, will the magnet installed for a Quarq interfere with the P2M? I have a type S for Specialized arms on order. Would like to keep it on there for now. Thanks.

For those in the US who have received their p2m, how long was it in transit and how long did it sit in US customs?

Hi Nicolas,

I received my order today and there were some mistakes. While I had ordered a 110mm BCD spider with 52x36 rings, I received a 130mm BCD spider with 53x39 rings.

What is the best way to get these mistakes expeditiously resolved?

Regards,
Brian

Once you have installed the type S is there an easy way to change the battery? Does the battery compartment cover come off at all or is it necessary to remove cranks/rings to gain access from the back side of the slot?

Hi Mnrunner,

on almost all frames you can change the battery with the cranks in place. Just rotate them into the right position so that the ducts for the screws are accessible. So far I only know of one frame (older Cannondale Super Six, around 2011 or 2012) where the bottom bracket gets in the way.

Maybe the Shiv needs to be added to that list - neither myself or the guys at the LBS can get access without taking things apart. Any Shiv owners out there having the same problem? Here are a couple of pics of my '12 Shiv Pro:
