Hi Nicolas

I just got FSA K-Light crank set + Type S power meter, but there was no paper saying how much Nm the 6 Torx screws must be tightened.

Can you tell?

Hi Morten,

sorry, it's usually on the calibration certificate which is not on the online version.

2 to 3 NM, that's all that's needed.

Cheers

is the Type S the only option for Specialized arms? Also, is the lead time on the order page accurate (2-3 weeks)? Thanks.

Hi dl33,

yes, the Type S is the model of choice for Specialized cranks - the Classic didn't work with them.

Yes, we are looking at a 2 to 3 week timeline for the Specialized models as of today.

Thanks and best

Nicolas,

I may not have been specific enough in my question, since I previously got a different answer.
I currently have Dura Ace 9000 cranks on a Chris King standard 68mm external bb. Can I use this BB with a TYpe S PM with Rotor 3D Plus or do I need the Rotor BB? Thanks for the clarification, I'm ready to pull the trigger.

Hi ptourkin,

If the DA9000 fit in the CK bottom bracket the Rotor 3D will fit, too, but the Rotor 3D+ will not. The 3D+ has a 30mm spindle and the Rotor 3D a 24mm spindle, like Shimano.

Just received my Type S! Just have two questions. Any tips for getting the round screw covers off? I couldn't get them off with just my fingers. Also, should there have been some kind of calibration certificate included? I didn't see one.

I also just installed my Type-S power meter and could not remove the screw cover with my finger.

I used a small screwdriver to pick them up.

Hi Tillquist, Michael_runs,

if you don't manage to get the rubber plugs out with your fingers you can use a set of narrow pliers.

The calibration certificate is glued on the box on the first shipments.

Thanks, found the sticker on the box. I'll try the pillars when I get my bike back from the LBS.

On another note I'd like to say thanks to Power2Max for excellent service. All of my questions have been answered and the Type S unit was delivered to my house less than 2 weeks after I placed my order when I was told to expect shipment in 2-3 weeks. First ride will be Monday night. Can't wait.

Hi,

For the new type-s, I am in need of a battery compartment o-ring....

Are they a standard thing I can find a Lowe's or some other big hardware store (the website has parts for the older model only).

Also, as a precaution, can you share the formal size of the screws and the rubber plugs or perhaps put kits/parts on the website for the type s.

Thanks.

Jeff

(great product btw)

Hi Jeff,

we'll put them on our site in the coming days and I'll find out if they are standard parts or special ones. The material is resistant to the elements, so it's not your run of the mill o-ring.

Awesome!

On battery install...the ring likes to take a flier... :)

Three of these and wow, so easy to install with the tool. Huge climbing early season group ride in 45m...looking forward to seeing how the thing records my efforts.

Thanks for the great product and support. On all bikes and it actually even gave me aero spiders .... lol.

Big smiles.

Just placed my order for a Rotor 3D based crankset, looking forward to receiving it! This goes on my 2009 Cervelo P2 which has a Shimano BSA bottom bracket - nothing else i need, correct?

Type S on a road bike with 50+k miles on it...and a my tt bike since this is a tt/tri group.

On the 75 miler road roller today, it was superb. I love the L v R balance data. Synced imediately with the 810. I took my time installing it today and cannot say enough. Very simple process, lightweight, and it feels very well made. Perfect fit. No issues with shifting or pedaling. No noise. Fit perfectly with the crank. Very well done graphics and finish work. Low rotating mass. Thank you for the great sales and shipping support. It was appreciated.

( Aside -To the group, in the 110mm size, I have used both aero and non-aero Q-rings and find the aero to be a better shifting option (more material ... stiffer) so it is what I have on all my bikes...q -rings exacerbate the issue of course. Had 130mm pre-p2mtS and felt that going all 110mm was the way to go. I found having the tool mandatory as I already had cranks on bikes - it is on their site. )

Once you have the battery cover o-rings, battery screw cover plugs, and battery screws on your site for the type S, I plan to get a bunch.

Jeff

Hi cobble,

just checked your order and you're good to go. We'll assemble it for you, so you don't need the installation tool.

@jcb_memphis: sweet bikes! Enjoy your new Type Ss! We'll contact you about spare parts kits.

Cheers
