Curious about why it's back in transition. Did he/she carry it in and complete the race?

Speculating, but I believe I read rider was hospitalized so bike was therefore likely collected and returned to transition by spectators/organizers.

Made quite a few changes. I'll add covers to the back wheel for racing.

This is definitive proof that all bike photos should be taken during the golden hour.

Here's the road bike I just built. Nothing fancy about it and I went pretty cheap across the board.

I dig it though :)

What group is that?

After 8 seasons I've finally bought a new road bike. I'm definitely into boutique brands and this is the polar opposite of that. But over the past couple years I've grown to really like Giant, I think their bikes are a killer value. Speaking of which, this frame is from 2012 and the complete bike set me back just over $2k (not including the wheels which I already had). It kinda made it hard to seriously consider the 4-5k frames I've been lusting over. So far I love it, but I can't wait for the local canyons to reopen so I can put it through its paces descending.

(Yes, I've got some derailleur housing to trim)

Is that a mini-pump alongside your bottle cage? Does it take like 1000 strokes to air up those tires?
