I'm in folks! Smooth ride and plenty of adjustability. Saw one in front of the King Kam in Kona and had to get one.

How do you get it to stay on the ceiling like that? Would really go a long way in cleaning up my garage...

Could someone advise if there is any danger of damaging the steerer tube with the stem set so low as in the last picture?

Yes there is. There will be no internal expansion of the steerer that far down. The stem could potentially crush the steerer.
I imagine that pic was taken for setup purposes and the steerer will be cut accordingly.

Hey guys have you come across the problem with the seat post nut coming out of the frame? I'm having trouble now putting enough pressure on it so as the seat post doesn't slip..

I did they told me to glue it.. Which I wouldn't mind if it was a cheap bike but I think it's pretty crap when it is the top of the line....

Yep that's garbage. I'd be looking for a solution to that problem. Warranty perhaps?

It actually came from specilized to glue it.... Not happy. I from Australia so I was just wondering anyone in the US had the same problem...

I realized a few months ago that, with a small modification, the carbon headset dust shield I manufacture for the Cannondale CAAD10, would fit perfectly on the Specialized Tarmac and Shiv bikes. My version lowers the stack height significantly. Not that I'm biased or anything....

Mark,
How much adjustment is there in the Shiv aero brake? Is a brake lever with built in adjustment needed? (ie SRAM 990 or will something like the 900 work just as well).
Thanks
Todd

There should be enough exposed cable for an in-line barrel adjuster. If you look at photos of Jordan Rapp's Kona bike, you will notice he has one.

I posted a question on the specialized FAQ about getting the shiv aerobars closer together. they said there is no after market product to get them closer and there is no visable adjustablility for that aspect of the fit. Is there anything that would prevent me from using like the pro missle evo bars on the shiv? or is there some way that I could put the bars closer together

What would be a fair price to pay for a new 2012 shiv comp rival on craigslist? The bike appears to have all stock components and never been ridden? I have found these new for as low as $2999 from online dealers. Has anyone found dealers selling them for cheaper than that; if so can a link be provided?

What would be a low ball price, a fair price, and a pay too much price?

I know it's not quite spring yet, but any updates on the Fuelcell?

My first HIM of the year is in April and I'd like to have one on the bike.

$2500 is a fair price I think, assuming it's used.

Is anyone running a Wheelbuilder disc cover on their Shiv Comp? If so, what measurements did you provide to WB to have your cover cut? There's not an option for a DT Axis 2.0 on their website..

Thanks!

I'd offer a little less than $2500. I doubt we'll see many problems in the future with Shivs considering how beefy the damn frame is. However, loss of warranty to me should effect price.

A quick ebay completed listing search showed $2200-2400.
