Here it is. Pretty excited. Large Expert, Dura Ace, S-works cranks with Quarq mid compact. Shown with my old Cosmic carbonnes--looking to upgrade to 808s?

Is it my imagination, or do the aerobars on Shivs all look long?
Re: Official Specialized Shiv Thread [31CapeHorn]

The aerobars on the one above look long because they haven't been cut down it looks like. Mine are cut down and look fairly normal compared to most bikes.

Anyone have any real life pics of the nude carbon Shiv Pro OSBB frame? Saw some on Tririg and they looked amazing.

Seriously considering picking one of these up, leaving all the decals off, throwing on the Zipp Vuka Aero bars/R2C shifters, SRAM red black quarq gruppo, and pulling the main Zipp decals off of my FC 808s. Just want to verify that the frame does look as good in person and that there are in fact no decals under the gloss when the frame is ordered. I always liked the black/black Trek SCs, but this would look way better.

This module?
It's a matte black frame (nude carbon), with a semi-gloss S-Works decal and S headbadge under the clear coat.
The Shiv Pro sticker Frameset and Bike come blank with a gloss clear coat, and a set of 6 different decals to apply. that's as bear as we make 'em.

I have one and the build is ALMOST complete (Gloss black and blank)! Can't decide on stickers though. It comes with NO decal under clearcoat other than the "S" badge on the front. Thing looks sweet! Also, Specialized has some of the BEST customer service i've ever experienced!!

No, I was speaking of the Shiv Pro OSBB frame. But, the S-Works version looks the same as the Pro version, except with the S-Works decal? Really like the S-Works version, but certainly cannot justify the extra few thousand dollars for it when I already have a Shiv. Is the main S-Works decal on the module under the clearcoat like the S on the front, or is it a removable decal on top of the gloss?

Nice! So, you're a fan, huh? Can you see the carbon details under normal light, or does it look more like gloss black normally and you can see extra detail in sunlight/high lighting conditions?
I already have a '12 Shiv and was thinking about this purely for aesthetics.
Care to post any pics, especially close up?

Great, thanks!
Cannondale came out with the SuperSix Ultimate not too many years ago and it was a naked carbon and I really liked the look.

Is that photoshop, or is that a big piece of white plastic in your frame?
If it is something real, may I ask what it's for?

Hi Mark,
I'm hoping you can help me make a quick decision on a Shiv frame size. I'm currently on a size 56 Transition Pro (2010) and this weekend I noticed I have a crack in the down tube where it intersects with the BB. My LBS is working with Specialized on a remedy and based on past experiences with customer service I'm "hoping" I get a warranty replacement Shiv (fingers and toes crossed). I'm 5'9" and ride comfortably in a pretty aggressive aero position. I've been fit using Retul and my fitter thinks I would fit best on a size SM Shiv. Based on posts in this thread I think I could go either SM or M. Is there any way you can provide some guidance? Any questions I can answer? According to my Retul report my last fit (October '12) had me at 517mm frame stack and 413mm frame reach on the Transition Pro.

According to this: http://www.specialized.com/.../SHIVStack-Reach.pdf
S: 515 stack, 385 reach
M: 540 stack, 405 reach
I'd say you'd have to go small.

Thanks. Sadly they denied my claim saying, in their opinion, it was a paint crack and not frame crack tho I'm not certain as you can easily get a fingernail in there. At least its documented should something go wrong.

dmounts,
Just to be clear before I pull the trigger on one of these, you bought the 2013 Shiv Pro OSBB Frameset in Carbon/Silver (http://www.specialized.com/...roosbbframeset#specs)? Looking at the Specialized website, it doesn't say anything about the sticker kit and it coming naked. I really like the thought of it remaining stealth and want to make sure before I order this frameset. Thanks!

Tri14,
The bike dmounts is talking about is the 2013 Shiv Pro OSBB frameset in Carbon/Silver.
The website is being updated right now to display pictures of the 6 different decal kits that are offered with the bike and what they will look like on the down tube of the bike.
Here's a video on how to apply.

Things turned around and warranty worked it out. The new Shiv arrived last night. It's the 2013 Pro stealth black model with optional sticker set. I went with a medium and hope that was the right call as I was borderline between that and a small. LBS is building her today. Can't wait! Out of curiosity why is this model called the Pro OSBB? And does anyone know where we can buy the Fuelcell I thought I saw a link in this thread but cant find it.
