Where to buy a bike (for a beginner) in Philly
Quote | Reply
Hi- I'm a beginner and my first triathlon will be the Philly sprint tri in June. I need to buy a new bike and was wondering if anyone in the Philadelphia area had any suggestions about retailers that cater to beginners (and women) who have no idea what they're doing and what they're going to need. :)

Any suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks for the feedback! Someone else suggested them to me, and I went this week and they were very helpful. Going back this weekend to make the official plunge...

You may also want to check out Cadence. They are carrying a lot of brands of bikes from Philly based Kestrel and Fuji

Update- went to Breakaway Bikes in Center City and got alot of help and suggestions and am now the proud owner of a Giant Defy, clip in pedals and shoes! First test run this weekend. Would DEFINITELY recommend Breakaway Bikes.
