Throw in a couple of waterbottles and you've got yourself a sweet deal.

Apparently the Dogma is an open mold frame. You can have it for around $500. Then build up that bike for much less.

Does anyone know where to get the open mold frame that resembles the Dogma. I have searched Ebay and found some, but I am not sure if it was the replica of the Dogma.

If I had the money and was looking for a carbon road bike I'd get it. It's a pretty sexy set up.

How do they end up with $16,500. Is it just a premium for a special paintjob because the components and frame alone don't add up to that price.

ebay is where I saw them. The seller even offers to custom paint the frame for you. One of the offered paint jobs is the Dogma design, including the logos. A virtual clone. Just doesn't use the same 'high quality' carbon fiber found in the Pinarello frame.

I like competitive cyclist but is it really that fricking difficult to get a full picture of each bike to put on the website. Their 1/2 view pictures suck.

And a NORMAL spec sheet?! I don't want to read all the paragraphs to find what wheels they're using...

Competitive lives on a single theory: Dramatically increase the price for semi-available goods to create a perceived value. Some economist could better tell you, but I think that it's related to Hobson's Choice.

Just click on the half pic and it expands, then you can "thumb through" a ton of pics of the bike. Like this one...

Last I checked, the Venge isn't from Italy, though. ;-)

I had no idea that they hired Salvador Dali to design the fork and rear stays. Nice!

Neither is the Pinarello...though I guess it could be assembled and shipped from Italy, though it was made in either China/Taiwan...:)

Appears to be crashed (all those bent tubes) or at least a factory second or something. Steer clear I say :-) (they appear to have saved money by not painting it)
